Single but not alone

It's strange, how singles (especially women), are always singled out in a crowd...I mean how can you make out she's single? She might be just enjoying being on her own and making the most of her well-earned freedom. She might be a single mom trying to find herself with her time alone. Perhaps she just enjoys nature alone and hence is taking a walk. She even might be dying to window-shop to check the new stuff for the next season. Or may be she just wants be alone for the time being. If she's walking alone she's sized up. If she wants to eat alone in a restaurant, either she doesn't have a free table or she has to share...why can't there be a separate space for a single person who wants to enjoy a meal alone? If she wants to watch a movie alone at a theatre she's sneered at...as if it's a crime. Even sitting alone at a coffee or tea house tapping the laptop or reading was considered something outlandish some time ago...this is beyond my comprehension!

Hey being single is not a sin and should be understood by people. Such individuals need the space and time to themselves since they enjoy that and need to be left alone to live a normal life....so please give let them be because they will ask for your company when they need to.
